Vanilla Machine Party supports 2–4. MachineParty+'s own lobby setup caps at four.
MachinePartyTogether's published installation notes target game version 1.5.0, so compatibility with the current v2 line must not be assumed.
The community machine-party-8p repository claims an eight-player build and documents a v2.1.2 update, but that claim has not been independently play-tested by this site.
